Locking the dipstick

Step Type:

Drag to rearrange

Push the dipstick into the engine and swing the latch down, locking it into place. The dipstick should sit flush with the valve cover.

Valve cover coating thicknesses can vary so always check to make sure the dipstick seal is inserted fully into the valve cover tube.
