  6. Remove the airbox vacuum line. Unbolt the airbox and remove it. Unbolt the airbox and remove it.

  9. Remove the airbox from the car. Remove the airbox from the car. Remove the airbox from the car.

  10. Remove the three bolts holding the battery tray in place

  11. Unclip the wiring harness connector and remove the harness from the battery tray bracket. Unclip the wiring harness connector and remove the harness from the battery tray bracket.

  13. Locate a safe point under the transmission and use a floor jack to support the transmission while you remove the trans mount.

  14. Remove the coolant hose bracket from the top of the transmission bracket.

  15. Remove the lower transmission bracket bolts. Remove the lower transmission bracket bolts.

  16. Remove the transmission bracket. Remove the transmission bracket. Remove the transmission bracket.

  17. Remove the center bolt on the transmission mount. Be sure the transmission is fully supported before removing this bolt. Be sure the transmission is fully supported before removing this bolt.
    • Remove the center bolt on the transmission mount.

    • Be sure the transmission is fully supported before removing this bolt.

  18. Remove the transmission bracket. Remove the transmission bracket.
    • Remove the transmission bracket.

  19. Locate and remove the two transmission detent springs. Be sure to keep track of the detent ball as they could fall out. Locate and remove the two transmission detent springs.   20. Once the detent springs have been removed, simply replace them with the HR Heavy Duty springs and reinstall them. You may need to add a dab of Hondabond to the threads to prevent transmission fluid leaks.

  21. Reinstall the springs and torque to 16 ft-lb (22 N-M). Shift into every gear and make sure the gear selector moves smoothly. If all is well, put the car back together and test drive.
