Step Lines

[* 1] With a pair of needle nose pliers, remove the cotter pin from the top of the large cable bushing.
[* 1] Remove the top metal shim.
-[* 1] With a flat tip screw driver, pry the OEM rubber bushing out of the metal cable end.
+[* 1] With a flat tip screw driver, pry the metal insert out of the OEM rubber bushing.
[* 9] Be careful not to twist or bend the cable in any extreme position. This can permanently damage the shifter cable.
