Introduction
Our radiator cap not only looks great but will also help raise the boiling point of your cooling system preventing a pressure loss due to high outside temperatures and/or motorsport activity.
We recommend using a 50/50 mix of coolant and distilled water.
-
-
Start by determining what cap you need. Notice the difference in shape.
-
The type F cap is to be used with aftermarket radiators only. This will not work on an OEM style radiator.
-
The type D cap is to be used on OEM radiators only. This will not work on aftermarket style radiators.
-
Installation of both types is the same.
-
-
-
NEVER REMOVE YOUR RADIATOR CAP WHEN THE COOLANT IS HOT. The cooling system is under pressure when hot it can spray out boiling fluid which can cause serious injury.
-
Locate your radiator cap near the front end of your car.
-
Once you are sure the temperature if safe, remove the cap by twisting it counter clockwise.
-
-
-
Once you have safely removed your factory radiator cap, install the Hybrid Racing unit by turning it clockwise.
-
You will feel the cap sealing. If the cap is loose or wiggles after you have installed it, remove it and try again.
