Introduction

Our radiator cap not only looks great but will also help raise the boiling point of your cooling system preventing a pressure loss due to high outside temperatures and/or motorsport activity.

We recommend using a 50/50 mix of coolant and distilled water.

  1. Start by determining what cap you need. Notice the difference in shape. The type F cap is to be used with aftermarket radiators only. This will not work on an OEM style radiator. The type D cap is to be used on OEM radiators only. This will not work on aftermarket style radiators.

    • Installation of both types is the same.

    • It is important to know that some modern vehicles have a header or expansion tank that holds pressurized coolant. These tanks usually house the radiator cap (instead of being on the actual radiator) and can use different style caps. For example, the 2017+ Civic Type-R uses an expansion tank and requires a Type-F cap.

  2. NEVER REMOVE YOUR RADIATOR CAP WHEN THE COOLANT IS HOT. The cooling system is under pressure when hot it can spray out boiling fluid which can cause serious injury. Locate your radiator cap near the front end of your car. Once you are sure the temperature if safe, remove the cap by twisting it counter clockwise.

  3. Once you have safely removed your factory radiator cap, install the Hybrid Racing unit by turning it clockwise.

    • You will feel the cap sealing. If the cap is loose or wiggles after you have installed it, remove it and try again.
