  2. Insert your Hybrid Racing Slimloc Dipstick into your Honda K-Series valvecover.

    • Be sure to apply engine oil to the rubber seal. If this seal is not lubricated the dipstick may not close properly which could result in damage to the shaft.

  3. Push the dipstick into the engine and swing the latch down, locking it into place. The dipstick should sit flush with the valve cover.

    • Valve cover coating thicknesses can vary so always check to make sure the dipstick seal is inserted fully into the valve cover tube.

  4. To unlock the dipstick, place your fingers under the latch and rotate it upwards. Once the latch is up, you will feel the assembly loosen. Grab the latch and pull upwards to remove the dipstick from the engine.

  5. This dipstick works with a variety of engines however, there are countless combinations of engine parts and oil pans that can affect these reference marks. If you are unsure of which setup to use, we recommend making your own marks based on your low and full thresholds.

    • For applications that are using OE valve covers, oil pans and head/block combinations, follow the reference chart.

    • The K20A/A2/Z1 reference has a narrower-than-stock window. The first notch indicates a MAX oil level whereas the second notch indicates a MIN oil for these engines only.

    • The second notch represents the MAX oil level for the K20A3 & K20Z3. The third notch indicates the MIN oil for these engines only.

    • The third notch represents the MAX oil level for the K24A1/A2/A4/A8 & Z7. The fourth and last notch represents the MIN oil level for these engines only.
